BCBA Clinical Lead

About the role

The Clinical Lead supports both our Durham and Burlington clinics, assisting in the development and implementation of clinical programs. This role shares responsibility for clinical quality aspects of the local market with the assigned Regional Clinical Director, including training new BCBAs, providing crisis prevention training, mentoring, supporting existing BCBAs, and promoting the development of students in BACB Fieldwork programs. The Clinical Lead works closely with the Regional Clinical Director and the administrative team to ensure all employees are properly trained and all families have a high-quality clinical experience focused on patient outcomes and evidence-based ABA treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Direct BCBA supervision.
• Support local clinical onboarding of behavior technicians, fieldwork students, and BCBAs.
• Train, mentor, and provide regular guidance to BCBAs in the assigned region.
• Provide group supervision and mentorship to BACB fieldwork students.
• Support the Regional Clinical Director during regular collaboration events for BCBAs and fieldwork students to promote learning and cultural growth.
• Assist families and BCBAs toward successful adherence to effective treatment plans.
• 20% travel required; travel to assigned locations for training and engagement activities monthly.
• Regularly meet with local operators to ensure all clinical needs are being met.
• Provide accurate weekly and monthly reporting of clinical progress.
• Maintain a caseload of clients based on the region’s need.
• Physically keep up with clients as they move about the session area(s), including standing, sitting, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, running, squatting, kneeling, and generally keeping pace with children from 2-15 years old.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral analysis, education, psychology, or a related field.
• Current BCBA license.
• Demonstrated skills and experience implementing applied behavioral analysis (ABA) with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related disorders.
• Ability to administer and interpret a variety of clinical assessments.
• Excellent clinical competence and judgment.
• Commitment to handling confidential information responsibly.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
• Licensed Behavior Analysis (or eligible) in all states in the coverage area.
• At least five years’ experience as a BCBA, with at least two years in a supervisory position.
