BCA Event Staff
BCA maintains a list of active, qualified event staff. In this position, you will help with the set-up and on-site execution of indoor and outdoor events in the BCA Center, BCA Studios, Contois Auditorium, City Hall Park, and other spaces as needed. Event work is posted to an email list, and any staffer can opt to take the work as desired and available. A minimum amount of work must be accepted to maintain the position. An Event Staffer will at times work independently and other times on a larger team. Staffers should be knowledgeable or willing to learn about customer service, hospitality, and/or professional audio, video, and lighting systems. Event staff must be incredibly trustworthy and professional at all times. Training comes with the work, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Support event production for both BCA events and community rentals in the BCA Center, BCA Studios, Contois Auditorium, City Hall Park, and occasionally additional off-site locations.
- Work indoors and outdoors, handle physical tasks, and conduct work with professionalism and compassion for everyone encountered.
- Contribute to effective relationships with third-party vendors, organizations, cultural and community organizations, and City personnel.
- Work evenings and weekends as required.
- Set up furniture, audio equipment (including various digital sound consoles), and video equipment (including professional video projection equipment and advanced portable electrical distribution systems) for events, meetings, films, concerts, festivals, and other special events.
- Work in the exhibition gallery and maintain basic knowledge of the exhibition, as needed.

Pay
$19.15 hourly
