About the role

Bay Beach Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia is seeking a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinarian to join their dynamic, multi-doctor team. The position is open to both new graduates and experienced ER doctors.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of a wide range of medical and surgical cases
• Maintaining excellent client communication and medical protocols
• Collaboration with visiting specialists for echocardiogram and advanced ultrasound services
• Participation in continuing education and professional development

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Virginia
• Experience in emergency medicine preferred, but not required for new graduates
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for providing high-quality veterinary care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Completed residency training in emergency medicine (optional)

Skills

• Advanced diagnostic imaging techniques

• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
