Battery Service Technician (Road Technician)

About the Role

Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Battery Service Technician to repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers in the field. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills who is seeking a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Go out into the field to service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial forklift batteries and chargers
• Keep customers informed about the work being done and notify them of any additional costs involved
• Communicate with other team members to ensure expert service
• Serve as the face of the company, providing outstanding customer service

Qualifications

• Mechanical/electrical aptitude
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Electrical and forklift experience is a plus, but not required (we are willing to train the right candidate)

Pay

Starting pay is $22-$28/hour with potential increases and bonus regularly. A company vehicle is also provided.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
