Key Responsibilities / Experience Required
- Perform and/or review voltage drop calculations for substation and low-voltage distribution systems
- Design and support station service systems (AC/DC auxiliary power)
- Develop and review control enclosure and/or control house designs, including layout and equipment integration
- Experience with substation battery systems (sizing, calculations, charger selection, and maintenance considerations)
- Familiarity with DC systems, including distribution panels, cables, and protection schemes
- Support development of wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel drawings
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, construction, O&M) to ensure design constructability and operability
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility or substation engineering experience (transmission preferred)
- Knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, NESC, NEC as applicable)
- Experience supporting low-voltage control and protection systems within substations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established engineering standards and processes
