About the role
The Yard Specialist at Clark Pacific supports daily manufacturing operations across various functional areas, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves hands-on work in the manufacturing environment and may support areas such as Production Lines, Maintenance, Loading, Kitting and Procurement, Woodshop, Batch Plant, Glass Division, Clark Metal Works (CMW)/PEP, and Facilities.
Responsibilities
- Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with team members, projects, and proprietary information.
- Follow established safety principles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job hazard analyses (JHAs) for materials, equipment, and work areas.
- Complete required documentation and perform material handling duties including receiving, storage, disbursement, and delivery of materials, products, and equipment.
- Prepare and assemble materials for manufacturing according to drawings and work instructions, including mixing, cutting, bending, welding, gluing, and assembly.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure debris, recyclables, and hazardous materials are properly managed and stored.
- Operate machinery and hand and power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, welding equipment, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools.
- Support general manufacturing and yard operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, concrete, or a related field required.
- Experience working in a union environment preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed in manufacturing and outdoor environments with exposure to weather, noise, moving equipment, and machinery.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, with assistance for heavier loads.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, high-visibility vest, gloves, eye and hearing protection.
