Batch Plant Operator ( Portable H )

Responsibilities

• Perform batching function using computer or manual controls.
• Communicate with central dispatch regarding daily driver and equipment status.
• Maintain inventory levels and operate plant processing equipment.
• Enforce company policies pertaining to operations, safety, and environment.
• Provide work direction to the workforce at assigned locations.
• Timely and accurately report key performance indicators.
• Efficiently batch product with proper mix, make necessary raw material and moisture adjustments.
• Communicate with drivers to complete customer orders, schedule deliveries, and complete paperwork.
• Operate front end loader or other material handling equipment to charge plant with aggregate, sand, or other materials.
• Lead and guide less experienced employees on more complex or heavier assignments.
• Coordinate work to ensure timely completion of plant tasks in order of priority.
• Train new employees.
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and environmental requirements.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit safety behaviors.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch environment experience.
• Computer skills: Dispatch systems, personal computer, telephone, and telephone headset.
• Basic computer and mathematics skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Climb on equipment, stairs, and ladders as needed.
• Walk on various surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground conditions).
• Work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays and overnights.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including clean-shaven faces for respirator seals.
