About The Role
The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for accurately batching concrete, operating equipment, and supporting daily plant operations. This role works closely with Production and Quality teams while maintaining safety standards and troubleshooting issues to ensure efficient, high-quality output.

What You’ll Do
- Cookorate with Production and Quality Control to ensure accurate batching and documentation.
- Operate batching equipment, forklifts, loaders, trucks, and crane-ways.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance in partnership with Maintenance.
- Order and manage materials for batch plant operations.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries with external vendors.
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures and policies.
- Batch concrete accurately based on job specifications.
- Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous process improvements.
- Perform basic calculations for mix designs and material quantities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the mixer area and inspect equipment regularly.
Who We're Looking For
- A reliable, detail-oriented Batch Plant Operator who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient environment.
- Hands-on, mechanically inclined individual capable of troubleshooting issues while working both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and leadership.
- Basic math skills, including ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of materials and products used in batching operations.
- Adaptable and open to process improvements and operational changes.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use.
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (depending on location).
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
