Batch Plant Loader Operator

About the role
The Batch Plant Loader Operator maintains site stockpiles and working materials to provide compliant, consistent materials to feed bins on the batch plant. While stockpile maintenance is a key responsibility, additional duties may include batch plant setup, water and dust control, general plant maintenance, yard clean-up, and organization. Operation of other equipment—such as water trucks, Gannon tractors, reach lifts, and aerial lifts—may be required. The individual will also service and maintain equipment daily. This position is based at the Yuma Border project in California.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
- Assist with setup and tear down of plants
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
- Conduct general housekeeping of equipment and jobsite, including use of a shovel to move material
- Perform all duties within safety guidelines set by MSHA and company policy
- Complete pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Available to work all shifts, including days, nights, and/or weekends
- Able to work in conditions with loud noise; around heavy/moving machinery; and involving bending, walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods
- Able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. or more on a regular basis
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment and ability to perform routine maintenance
- Experience working with concrete batch plants preferred
- CDL preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)
