Basketball Coach - JV Girls (Assistant)

About the role

The JV Girls Basketball Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive basketball program that supports the academic success of students while fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a basketball curriculum that aligns with school goals and objectives.
• Coach and mentor JV girls basketball players to improve their skills and teamwork.
• Work closely with the Principal/SAC to ensure compliance with all school policies and regulations.
• Attend all JV games and practices to provide support and guidance.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to maintain high standards of student behavior and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience at the high school level.
• Experience working with girls and a passion for basketball.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Knowledge of current basketball techniques and strategies.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Proficient in using technology for lesson planning and communication.

Pay

Salary range: $18,000 - $22,000 per year.

Schedule

Part-time position, approximately 10-15 hours per week during the school year.
