About the Role
American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest providers of primary and urgent care services in the U.S., offering walk-in care seven days a week. Our modern medical centers specialize in the treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers’ compensation cases, and occupational health services. Each location features an on-site laboratory and in-house X-ray capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and clearly explain imaging procedures in a professional and compassionate manner
- Accurately position patients for radiographic procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Follow ALARA principles and other radiation safety protocols
- Process and review images for clarity, proper identification, and quality assurance
- Operate both digital and analog imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
- Assist providers with patient care and treatments when necessary
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and arrange for service when required
- Complete necessary documentation, including imaging logs, reports, and patient records
- Provide support as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant when needed, within scope of training
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- ARRT registration or board eligibility preferred
- Current state licensure in radiologic technology (as required by state regulations)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current state licensure in radiologic technology (as required by state regulations)
