About the role

Barton Community College is seeking applications for a Temporary Employee position for the Barton County Upward Bound Program. This position will be specifically working during the summer residential program from June 1st through June 26th.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers
• Auxiliary support to UB staff during field trips
• Drive a 15-passenger van
• Serve as a positive role model
• Supervise participants in a group living environment
• Facilitate conflict resolution
• Address disciplinary problems
• Assist UB staff during evening activities

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license
• Clean driving record
• Pass a background check
• Completion of sophomore year of college preferred
• High school diploma required
• GPA of 3.0 required

Benefits

The position involves working long hours including evenings and Sundays with culturally and socio-economically diverse high school students.

Pay

The position is 100% grant funded.

Schedule

The position is open until filled. Employees must be available for long hours including evenings and Sundays.
