The Role

The Job
Shake things up at MGM National Harbor! As a Bartender, you'll craft great drinks, create memorable guest experiences, and bring energy to one of the most exciting destinations in the region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipe and service standards for our walk-up bars.
• Deliver exceptional guest service while creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, wines, champagne, and specialty beverages.
• Accurately ring in orders, process payments, and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar, equipment, and work areas.
• Monitor and replenish inventory levels to ensure the bar is fully stocked and guest-ready.
• Train and mentor Apprentice Bartenders and Bar Porters on bar operations and service standards.
• Assist guests with beverage recommendations and answer questions about the property and local attractions.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed.
• Follow all safety, health, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in a bar or similar environment (Preferred)

Pay Rate
The rate for this role is: $16.34 This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage. Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans.
