Job Summary
Restaurant 1915 is seeking an experienced Fine Dining Bartender to join their team. The Bartender will be responsible for creating and serving all guest drink orders, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction, and ensuring proper billing procedures.
Job Description
- Greet guests in a polite, positive manner; take beverage orders efficiently.
- Check patrons' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
- Answer questions about drink options and specials, and take drink orders.
- Pour, mix, and serve drinks following standard recipes.
- Serve in a friendly, efficient manner, attending to guests' needs periodically.
- Deliver checks and complete transactions accurately, providing change when necessary.
- Maintain the bar's liquor, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies or inventory.
- Clean all bar equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Perform clean-up duties after each service and prepare for the next guest.
- Keep the assigned bar area clean and properly set up, including vacuuming and arranging tables and chairs.
- Stock bar areas with all required bar supplies.
- Report gratuities at the end of each shift as required by Company policy and law.
- Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to management.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
- Mathematical skills.
- Excellent sanitation habits.
- Professional appearance.
- Ability to communicate and attend to guests with the highest standard of service.
- Ability to pass cash handling and TIPS training.
- Problem sensitivity and the ability to recognize and communicate problems to management.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements within the unit.
- Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Lift, carry, and push up to 10 lbs. regularly, 10-15 lbs. frequently, and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Stand for the entire work day.
- Withstand temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in, and grill areas.
- Read and write work-related documents in English.
- Speak clearly to communicate with customers and co-workers in English.
- Communicate and receive verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced unit.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by law.
