Bartender
The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to guests and oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies. As a Bartender, you will serve as the face of our brand in the taproom, engaging with guests to educate them about our products while delivering an outstanding hospitality experience.
- Serves as the first point of contact for guests, greeting them promptly and ensuring the bar is clean and equipped with necessary items.
- Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks according to guest orders and those of the waitstaff.
- Accurately and efficiently enters food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Collaborates with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation and delivery.
- Maintains a clean, organized bar and ensures it is stocked with clean glassware.
- Fulfills all required bar prep tasks, including cutting fruit/garnish, making syrups, batching cocktails, etc.
- Follows all Alcohol Service laws and is mindful of safe alcohol service, including checking photo IDs.
- Processes guest payments by preparing checks and handling transactions through the POS system.
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with guests, teammates, and management.
- Changes, moves, and organizes kegs as needed.
- Affords assistance with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and setting up the bar.
- Assists with other side work duties such as cleaning the dining area, preparing silverware, and refilling condiments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a passion for hospitality and craft beverages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortability with discussing our products in detail with guests.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with craft cocktails is desired.
- Ability to operate the point-of-sale system (POS).
- At least one year of related experience required.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to lift and carry at least 60 pounds.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
