Responsibilities
- Maintain complete knowledge of all products, brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes available.
- Greet guests promptly with a smile, make eye contact, and use names to personalize service and signal recognition.
- Serve beverages and food in accordance with established guidelines: specified glassware, correct pouring, recipes, measures, and garnishes.
- Prepare and serve beverages in a professional, efficient, and proactive manner.
- Oversee bar maintenance: keep the bar clean and organized; keep glassware, soda, and garnishes stocked; communicate any missing items to management.
- Cookout food service at the bar with the kitchen, service team, and support team.
- Provide guests dining and drinking at the bar with a great experience while ensuring the service team receives prompt service for table guests.
- Proactively anticipate guest and team needs and make personalized recommendations.
- Enter all orders in the POS immediately and accurately; present accurate checks and fully process payments.
- Serve alcohol responsibly with strict ID verification and measured pours while operating with integrity in all transactions.
- Restock to par levels and notify supervisors immediately of any shortages or out-of-stocks.
- Promote a clean, safe, and supportive work environment in line with health code and resort policies.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ bartending experience in fast paced, high-end, luxury food & beverage operations.
- Energized, enthusiastic, and motivated individual.
- Passionate about mixology with a strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers.
- Understanding and natural adherence to Brand Values.
- Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
- Effective communication skills and know when to ask for help.
- Able to work in variable indoor/outdoor South Florida conditions and be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to maintain decorum and continue to work well with others in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Experience, Education, & Licensure:
- High School Diploma or GED recommended.
- Some College experience or Degree recommended.
- TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
- Must have a current Food Handlers card.
- Previous bartending experience in a professional setting is preferred.
