About the Property
The Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Downtown is dedicated to providing the best hospitality in the area. We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bartender to join our team. Our Core Values emphasize personal development, people, and a desire for each team member's success.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu
- Accurately take orders, confirming all special requests
- Be the master of the bar, understanding the details to enhance the conversation
- Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Aid guests with concerns to ensure they are satisfied
- Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
- Requisition and stock of all beer, wine, spirits
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
- Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops, and secure bank
Requirements
- Engaging and welcoming personality
- Current bartenders' certification or appropriate license
- Knowledgeable in the latest trends around mixology
- Descriptive and able to sell
- At least 2-4 years of bartender experience
- Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state liquor certification
- Experience in a similar position
