About the role
This position is responsible for the professional, courteous greeting and serving of beverages to guests in their assigned location at The Hotel Hershey. As a Part-Time Team Member, you will enjoy sweet perks like free admission and parking to Hersheypark, discounts on food and shopping, and more as soon as you receive your Employee ID.
Responsibilities
- Serve and dispense alcohol in line with PLCB regulations at both the bar and poolside locations.
- Operate the point of sale system.
- Prepare cocktails for guests and servers according to standard recipe.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Perform all aspects of opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure bar par is adequate and that the liquor requisition is according to standard.
- Receive and store beverage products in a proper and orderly manner.
- Conduct monthly inventory.
- Ensure that glassware and bar utensils are washed, adhering to safety standards, and presentable before use.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure that all side work assigned is accomplished in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) within the probation period.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience tending bar in a restaurant or lounge setting.
Skills
- Working knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
- Professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

This is a union position, and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet schedule requirements, which will most likely require working flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational demands.
