Bartender
Deliver prompt, friendly, courteous service to guests, ensuring all orders for guests and servers are accurate and timely.
- Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers.
- Show excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines.
- Upsell and suggest sales of both food and beverage to guests.
- Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment.
- Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
- Check guests' identification to ensure alcohol is served only to those of legal drinking age.
- Maintain control of guests' alcohol intake, preventing service to those who are intoxicated.
- Communicate positively with guests, addressing feedback and resolving service issues.
Qualifications
- Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Able to communicate effectively by telephone and in person.
- Basic computer/MICROS knowledge required.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Previous cash handling experience required.
- Must attain a valid MA Food Handler & Responsible Beverage Service certification upon hire if not already certified.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, providing courteous service and engaging guests in conversation.
- Able to work flexible schedules including day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
Pay
Starting rate per hour: $25.50
After one year, rate increases to: $33.41 per hour.
