Bartender (Part-Time)

Responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing sidework per checklists.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding drinks and menu items.
• Take drink orders from customers or Servers and prepare cocktails in accordance with standard beverage recipes.
• Take food orders from guests and submit to kitchen for preparation.
• Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
• Wash glassware as needed.
• Familiarize and be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings, including wine lists and cocktail menu.
• Provide current information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel and surrounding areas.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas.
• Go beyond the bar itself and take ownership of guest service more broadly, doing what needs to be done to create a memorable and unique experience.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 months of related experience.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong work ethic and drive to exceed expectations.
• Passion for the guest service experience and an eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with guests and colleagues.
