Bartender NA-03.

Duties

• Sets up bars for operation
• Obtains cash, bank, and stock services for the bar
• Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips
• Identifies unruly individuals or those appearing intoxicated and resolves issues or seeks assistance
• Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required
• Qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of appointment
• Minimum 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training required within 30 days of employment, annual refresher training required
• Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including medical examination
• Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card required for physical access to federally-controlled facilities
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination
• Occasionally lifts and carries up to 40 pounds
• Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• Resumes must be two pages or less
• Resume must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities
• Must meet state/local age requirements for serving alcohol at the time of appointment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Necessary math skills to calculate patron bills and take inventory
• Skills in mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Pay

This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.

Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.

Schedule

Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination. Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
