About the Role
This position advances the college's mission, vision, principles, values, and strategic initiatives through continuous improvement in food and beverage service. As a trainer, you will supervise the learning experiences of students in The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, The Kirkwood Center for Hospitality Arts, and The Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education.

Responsibilities
- Build drinks and deliver food and beverages to patrons, directly or through servers.
- Effectively manage patrons' consumption of alcohol.
- Take food and beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of bar, lounge, and patio areas.
- Operate POS terminal and handle cash proficiently.
- Attend service and food trainings.
- Understand and practice "Serving Alcohol with Care" principles.
- Ensure regular and consistent attendance at work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Maintain proper grooming and dress code standards.
- Speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.

Physical Activities
Position involves working in an office setting with the following physical demands:
- Occasional (10-33%): standing, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
- Frequent (34-66%): reaching and close visual work (e.g., viewing a computer).
- Constant (67-100%): sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking, and hearing.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preference given to candidates with bartending experience in a professional setting.
- Preference given to candidates with a post-high school degree.
- Preference given to candidates with a minimum of two years of full-time experience in a related hospitality setting or equivalent education and work experience.
