Bartender- Full-Time

About the role

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role ensures an exceptional guest experience by providing knowledgeable recommendations, maintaining bar cleanliness and organization, and upholding all safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service standards. The Bartender works closely with restaurant staff to support smooth service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
• Provide prompt, attentive, and courteous service to all guests seated at the bar or dining area.
• Engage with guests to create a warm, hospitable environment and enhance overall dining experience.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine list, beer selections, cocktails, and specialty drinks.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all responsible-service guidelines.
• Operate the POS system to accurately enter orders, process payments, and reconcile cash/receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, tools, equipment, and product storage.
• Restock bar inventory, garnishes, and supplies as needed throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including inventory counts and bar setup/breakdown.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and alcohol-service regulations.

Requirements

• Must be available to work flexible hours and weekends and holidays.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must meet legal age requirements for serving alcohol.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively during busy periods.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Familiarity with POS systems preferred.
