Bartender - Concord Pavilion

Concord Pavilion is a 12,500-capacity amphitheater in Concord, CA, set against the backdrop of Mt. Diablo. The venue will host legendary musical acts such as Steely Dan, Tears for Fears, Chicago, Brian Wilson, Santana, and Earth, Wind & Fire during the 2024 season. Legends Hospitality, the food and beverage concessionaire for Concord Pavilion, is seeking passionate individuals for seasonal part-time roles primarily during weeknights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engage in positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Utilize high-quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs, and spices to create exceptional drinks.
• Greet guests, take beverage orders from servers or directly from guests, and mix drinks in compliance with company standards.
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation.
• Provide information on wine characteristics, evaluate guest needs, and serve wine using proper techniques.
• Check guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases.
• Track inventory on stand sheets and handle an assigned bank with proper cash handling procedures.
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance receipts.
• Ensure the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products; prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed.
• Serve food items to guests seated at the bar.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions.
• Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning glass doors and windows.
• Organize catering storage areas and perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Attend mandatory meetings and complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• At least two years of bartending experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes and the ability to create and serve drinks in a timely manner.
• Extensive knowledge of wines and the ability to create one-of-a-kind drinks.
• Must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to work independently or in a team during setup and execution of service.
• Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations.
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Personable, friendly, and welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English to communicate with guests.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Must have a working email for communication with managers.
• Must possess a Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) certificate and food handler’s certificate.
• Practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Pay

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour.
