Bartender - Brasserie Boulud - New York

About the role

Brasserie Boulud is seeking skilled and hospitality-driven Bartenders to join our team at our new, spectacular dining destination on the Upper West Side. Opening this fall, the restaurant will span over 10,000 square feet across two floors, offering a modern take on a classic French brasserie with a light and airy main dining room, an intimate speakeasy, and elegant private dining rooms. The venue will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring seasonal French cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and Boulud’s signature express menus for pre- and post-theatre crowds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests with precision and consistency
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of classic cocktails, French wines, spirits, and aperitifs/digestifs
• Exhibit thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, including seasonal dishes and daily offerings
• Engage guests at the bar with professional, friendly, and attentive service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
• Ensure accuracy in order taking, drink preparation, and billing
• Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with laws and company policies
• Collaborate with Servers and kitchen staff to support overall service flow
• Assist in bar prep, inventory, and restocking as needed
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Uphold the restaurant’s standards of professionalism, appearance, and hospitality

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years of bartending experience in a high-end or fine dining environment
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits; French wine knowledge is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanor with a passion for hospitality and beverage craftsmanship
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume bar environment
