Bartender - Bear Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Assist guests in beverage and drink preparation, servicing of the bar area and the restaurant in an efficient and timely manner.
• Engage with guests about their needs and satisfaction with beverages, ensuring consistently caring and high-quality service.
• Be knowledgeable about the drink offerings on the menu as well as all standard drinks to assist guests in choosing beverages based on their preferences.
• Demonstrate expertise in drinks, cocktails, spirits, and other menu items, including specials and pricing.
• Accurately and quickly take and place orders, inputting them into the Micros system to ensure correct timing and billing.
• Prepare guest checks accurately and collect payment or signature as required.
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean all bar equipment and fittings.
• Ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times.
• Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by following proper food-handling skills and food safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Current Food Handler’s Card (required within 30 days of hire).
• RBS - Alcohol Training Certification (required within 30 days of hire).
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• One year of experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a Bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine.
• Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.

Pay

The starting pay range for this position is $18.40 per hour. Individual salaries will be based on factors such as experience and education.
