About the Role

A bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and/or food to guests. This person must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. The role requires providing innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

Responsibilities

• Focus on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs
• Continuously exemplify and live by our company culture
• Meet or exceed company goals and three key metrics
• Complete all required training
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
• Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
• Provide personalized, friendly service to each and every guest
• Greet guests and respond to inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
• Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards
• Present and serve beverages to guests
• Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations
• Accurately total, process, and collect payments from guests, including handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change, and processing gift certificates, cards, and vouchers
• Stock and maintain bar inventory
• Ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables

Requirements

• Keep confidential the business functions of the company, including financial status, customer/guest information, and associate issues
• Responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets
• Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
• Able to report to all scheduled shifts
• Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Organized, honest, and works well with others
• Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
• Highest degree of integrity and humility, living by the Golden Rule
• Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Values of dedication, innovation, respect, excellence, community focus, and service
• Able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch, and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
• Able to perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
• Eyesight enabling vision both near and far
• Able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
• Able to handle heat and stress
• Finger dexterity for operating equipment
• Speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
• Able to write
