General Purpose
Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
Essential Duties
- Stock bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, assist in cost control, and maintain inventory records
- Aid in the creation of seasonal cocktails and the development of the menu
- Maintain inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicate with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management
- Communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager
- Perform opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to, inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking
- Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize the Point-of-Sale system
- Review banquet schedule for changes, special events, and calendar updates
- Serve catered parties from service or portable bars
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Requirements
- At least two years experience as well as knowledge of liquor beer and wine
- Customer service driven with the ability to overcome stressful situations
Preferred Requirements
- Mixology experience helpful but not necessary
Physical Demands
- Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands
- Rarely reaches with hands and arms
- Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits
- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in the industry and marketplace
- Knowledge of cocktail recipes
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to company values
- Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors
- Fluent in spoken, written, and comprehended English
