Bartender

The position is for a Bartender who will create a welcoming bar atmosphere, serve and interact with guests, and mix both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks as well as food.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages (30%).
• Interact verbally with all bar guests, creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere (20%).
• Serve food and drinks to all bar guests (15%).
• Complete assigned opening and closing side work (15%).
• Slice fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks (5%).
• Present guest checks to bar patrons, make correct change, and process charge‑card transactions (5%).
• Process employee and/or manager food orders (5%).
• Relay food orders to the kitchen via the point‑of‑sale computerized register system (5%).

Qualifications

• A desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
• A positive attitude.
• Ability to operate blenders, frozen‑drink machines, and other bar equipment.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Frequent immersion of hands in water every five minutes.
• Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor, and wipe down booth seats throughout the restaurant.
• Capability to transport glass rack cases up to 25 lb (such as a case of beer) up to 15 times per shift.
• Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Navigate throughout the restaurant and communicate with guests.
• Move and grasp items up to five pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Bend and stoop as needed.
• Maintain adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate a touchscreen.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.

Pay

The position is paid the tip‑credit minimum wage, plus tips. This is an average estimate only; actual take‑home pay varies based on availability.
