About the role

Bartenders at Ned’s Club Washington DC are the smiling faces serving up drinks in our guest‑facing or service bars. Each bar is located inside one of our gorgeous restaurants or floor spaces, each with its own distinct look, vibe, and menu. The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants. Ned’s Club Washington DC occupies three floors of the historic Riggs Building at 734 15th Street NW, opposite the U.S. Treasury and near the White House, featuring a Rooftop Terrace, Loft Restaurant, Founder’s Dining Room, Library, Drawing Room, Gallery, Conservatory, and a private‑event floor on level nine.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve perfectly made drinks from our range of menus.
• On guest‑service bars, be the friendly face providing exceptional experiences, including recommendations and suggested drinks.
• On service bars, quickly prepare orders as they come in, keeping servers and runners stocked with the drinks they need.
• Maintain a tidy, presentable, and slick operation, as all bars are in full view of guests.
• Guard drink quality and presentation, never allowing anything below Ned standards to reach guests.
• Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting guests and teammates from any possible harm.
• Assist and communicate with barbacks about the needs of the bar to support an extraordinary guest experience.

Requirements

• Fantastic personality with the ability to engage customers and deliver exceptional service.
• Great all‑round drinks knowledge; ideally experience with cocktails and wines.
• Creative flair – participation in regular cocktail competitions, with winning drinks potentially added to the menu.
• Desire to learn and progress beverage knowledge; regular spirits, wine, beer, and service trainings are provided.
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails.
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 35 pounds.
• Open availability to include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

Salary of up to $14.00 per hour plus gratuities.

Schedule

Open availability required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
