Bartender

About the role

The Daily Catch Restaurant is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of drinks to our customers while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. You will also provide excellent customer service and be knowledgeable about our menu offerings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers, taking orders and making recommendations as needed
• Ensure that the bar area is clean and organized, and restock supplies as needed
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including wines, beers, and spirits
• Create and mix new cocktails and drinks to enhance the customer experience
• Handle cash and credit card transactions and process orders through the POS system
• Provide excellent customer service, including making conversation with customers and addressing any concerns they may have
• Monitor alcohol intake of customers and adhere to responsible serving practices
• Aid with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Minimum three years previous experience as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant/bar
• Excellent knowledge of alcohol including wine, cocktails, spirits, and beer
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have TIPS certification
