Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to their departure. As a Bartender, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest’s needs while preparing perfect beverages made to our standards in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards
  • Deliver genuine hospitality to and establish emotional connections with our guests
  • Contribute to the overall teamwork and success of the restaurant
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Determine guests’ needs while making the appropriate recommendations and offerings to enhance the dining experience
  • Presents the best we have to offer, never selling the guest anything
  • Prepares drink orders for guests and servers according to recipes in a timely manner
  • Answer guest questions regarding food and beverage offerings
  • Adhere to all alcohol awareness procedures
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and alert a manager immediately
  • Process payments and handle cash professionally and accurately
  • Communicate with managers and hosts regarding table availability and key table updates
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Demonstrate professional and gracious demeanor at all times
  • Perform all opening, running, and closing duties accurately
  • Perform any job function requested by the management team

Skills & Abilities

  • Education: High School; able to communicate (speak, read, and write) in English
  • Experience: Previous hospitality experience is preferred
  • Computer Skills: Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Certificates & Licenses: N/A
  • Other Requirements: Must meet the local, legal minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages; coordination skills that allow proper pouring and carrying of several drinks and plates at the same time
