Bartender

About the role

Upstream Hospitality Group is seeking experienced bartenders to join the front-of-house team at The Tap Room. We value creativity, progression, and originality, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy, energetic environment while delivering genuine hospitality. As a Tap Room Bartender, you’ll help set the tone for the guest experience and contribute to a fun, positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to every guest at the bar and in the dining room.
• Ask for ID anytime serving alcohol to guests—there are no exceptions to this law and policy.
• Maintain full knowledge of food, beverage, and beer menus, as well as current specials and promotions.
• Ensure prompt service for bar guests and service bar.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar.
• Have knowledge of proper pours and use of glassware.
• Adhere to state, federal, and company liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Help promote the restaurant: “Great food, good people!”
• Assist fellow team members in the performance of their responsibilities.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks pertinent to the bartending position, as well as running side-work.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Valid TIPS Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay

$11.00 per hour
