Bartender

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional guest service by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Processing transactions
• Ensuring compliance with all gaming and alcohol service regulations
• Preparing cocktails for cocktail servers and guests of the Spokane Tribe Casino using prescribed recipes
• Maintaining equipment in an orderly manner
• Advising Beverage Manager of any equipment needs or repairs required
• Interacting with guests in a manner which makes them feel comfortable and welcome
• Complying with company vision and mission to provide top notch customer service
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Monitoring proper par levels of all supplies at assigned bars
• Communicating any problems or situations detrimental to property to immediate supervisor
• Being responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank and accountable for all overages and shortages
• Working in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke
• Communicating effectively always, with customers as well as all levels of employees
• Observing and directing actions of barbacks and inspecting and maintaining areas for which responsible
• Distinguishing between different denominations of currency and making change
• Reviewing and comprehending all necessary documentation
• Using the equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to cash register and all bar equipment
• Effectively and efficiently moving around bar area
• Retrieving supplies and maintaining a clean working area
• Performing other tasks assigned
• Practicing, supporting, and maintaining the Mission, Vision and Values of the Casino

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• Five (5) years of bartending or similar experience, or progressive promotion and training within the Food & Beverage department
• Ability to secure and maintain a STATE OR TRIBAL Gaming License
