About the role
Puttshack is looking to attract a diverse team of fun hospitality associates who care deeply about creating an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience. The Bartender mixes and serves alcohol and other beverages based on guest requests, demonstrating knowledge and ability in the art of mixology. It’s the combination of the “show” and the “drink” that brings guests back. The Bartender is responsible for exceeding guests’ expectations by providing friendly and caring service.
Schedule
Our venues are open 7 days a week, typically from 11 am–1 am with some variations. While we will do our best to accommodate scheduling preferences, they may not always be guaranteed, and we value flexibility. All positions are variable schedules, meaning a typical schedule may be anywhere between 15 and 30 hours on a weekly basis depending on business needs and individual availability.
Responsibilities
- Bring your “A” game every day.
- Greet guests with a warm invite and sincere smile.
- Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and instructions.
- Stock and restock appropriate bar areas with alcohol, glassware, ice, garnishes, and supplies.
- Follow all steps of service to effectively service a full bar top, cocktail station, and dining area.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and show attentiveness to ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations.
- Understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions.
- Safely and effectively transport food and beverage.
- Keep areas tidy and comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
- Give direction to barbacks and be a team player.
- Successfully complete alcohol awareness training.
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Perform other projects or duties as assigned, including but not limited to side-work, opening, and closing duties.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- Prior craft cocktail experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar.
- Strong level of emotional intelligence and overall self-awareness.
- Must obtain required licenses and certifications per state and/or local requirements.
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment.
- Safely and effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, which may include stairs, uneven, or slick surfaces.
- Ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally move and lift up to 30 pounds.

Pay
This role is paid a base wage plus tips. Total hourly rate cannot be guaranteed. The advertised pay is an estimate and may vary based on schedule and availability.
