Bartender

About the role

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may vary weekly and schedules are not guaranteed. Weekend availability is required, including Sunday Dinner and Monday Lunch shifts.

Pay

$19.70 per hour

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive Guest experience by presenting the drink menu, making recommendations, answering questions about food and beverages, taking orders, promptly serving food and drinks, and checking in with Guests; up-sell when possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately into the POS system
• Accept and process Guest payments, providing correct change as needed
• Fill in as a server when directed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations
• Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing
• Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area, including counters, tables, equipment, and floors
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and beverage promotion
• Wash and sterilize glassware as needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and measurements
• High school education is required; hospitality or related degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant or customer service industry preferred

Physical demands

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
