Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing professional and customer-focused service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience for guests. They will work closely with the Culinary and Service teams to ensure One&Only service standards exceed the expectations of guests. They will also work with the F&B Leadership team to establish training and implement plans that will help the team accomplish departmental goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a complete knowledge of all Food & Beverage offerings, including drinks and food items.
- Maintain a knowledge of Food & Beverage sequence of service and standards, going above and beyond for guests and customers dining within the outlets.
- Maintain proper knowledge and the ability to sell both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the bar.
- Use of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method, and garnishes required.
- Maintain a complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- Ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures by training, supervising follow-up, and hands-on management.
- To continuously collect feedback from guests and report it back to management.
- To assist with any other duties that are required by Food & Beverage management or another member of the hotel management team.
Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience at a similar level.
- Workplace training from within a high-standard hotel environment.
- Knowledge of catering operations and beverage practices within the catering industry.
- Experience in a 5* upmarket resort would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Montana state approved TIPS certification.
- Food Handler's certification.

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling.
- Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
