Bartender

Location: Oak Grove, KY, US, 42262 – Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel. The property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

About the role

The Bartender is responsible for providing patrons with excellent service in a timely manner, assisting beverage servers with orders to ensure quality guest service, and delivering a favorable gaming experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares drinks correctly at the bar for patrons and for cocktail staff.
• Assists with cleaning the bar area and maintaining inventory.
• Ensures the safety and security of employees and guests.
• Performs “responsible alcohol service” with regard to patron limitations and completes any required alcohol-service training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• Prior bartending experience preferred.

Skills

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills for working with diverse people and authority levels.
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and maintain urgency regardless of business volume.
• Accurate cash-handling skills.
• Effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, nights, and handle high-pressure, interruptive environments.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and handling objects.
• Ability to circulate throughout all gaming areas, including smoking sections.
• Moderate to loud noise levels.

Pay

$10.00 per hour.
