Starting pay: $15.00/hr. Part-time position with variable shifts.
About the Role
The Bartender is responsible for providing superior service, interacting with guests, and ensuring consistent drink quality. You will prepare orders in a fast-paced environment while following recipes and guidelines established by the Food and Beverage department. This position reports to a member of the theatre management team or General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepare beverages for guests while following company food safety policies and local regulatory agency guidelines.
- Attend to guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks to provide an excellent guest experience.
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items; assess guests' needs and preferences to make recommendations.
- Verify that guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years of age.
- Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar.
- Clean and sanitize all areas in the bar and lounge for guests and associates.
- Monitor and communicate social distancing guidelines.
- Maintain accuracy in transactions and cash-handling.
- Use the Aloha Point of Service System.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Willingness and motivation to learn new skills and adapt to changing industry demands.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of six months of work experience.
- Ability to obtain relevant training certificate and/or licensure.
- Adherence to all cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices mandated by the company and local regulatory agencies.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Required to stand for long periods and walk often.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work is performed in a theatre/restaurant/bar environment with moderate to high noise levels. Wearing a face mask is required during scheduled working hours.
