Key Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Create signature drinks and suggest beverage options to guests.
- Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service.
- Take beverage orders and serve drinks promptly.
- Engage with guests, answer questions, and address any concerns.
- Build and maintain positive guest relations to encourage repeat business.
- Bar Maintenance:
- Set up and stock the bar with necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and drink ingredients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the shift.
- Clean and sanitize bar equipment, tools, and glassware.
- Monitor and manage bar inventory, including restocking items and informing management of low stock levels.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ensure compliance with local and state alcohol service laws.
- Verify the age of guests to ensure legal drinking age requirements are met.
- PRACTICE RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL SERVICE AND MONITOR GUESTS FOR SIGNS OF INTOXICATION.
- Cash Handling and Transactions:
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage tabs and process payments.
- Balance cash register at the end of the shift and report any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred.
- Knowledge of a wide range of drink recipes and bartending techniques.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Certifications:
- Food Handler’s certification is required.

Working Conditions
