Bartender

About the Role

The Bartender understands and follows alcohol serving laws, prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, interacts with customers, and serves food as needed. They maintain a clean and sanitized environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes to prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnish
• Serves members and customers in a timely fashion, checks identification, processes payments, and answers questions
• Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surfaces, furniture, and equipment, and returns used dishware to the bar/kitchen
• Re-stocks liquors, wines, beer, non-alcoholic ingredients, and replaces beer barrels
• Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
• Certified to serve alcohol
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the Café for prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inventory and ordering
