BARTENDER

About the role

This position will provide friendly, courteous beverage service and beverage preparation in accordance with standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages in accordance with established procedures.
• Follow proper cash control procedures.
• Practice proper par stock ordering procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of all policies and procedures concerning service of all alcoholic beverages.
• Responsible for set-up and cleaning of bar area.
• Monitor and assist in training Barbacks.
• Maintain knowledge of current hotel activities, beverage outlets and operations.
• Comply with all health and safety standards.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of relevant bartending procedures (drink recipes, etc.).
• Great interpersonal skills, including effective communication.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to handle money and make correct change.
• Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and Company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management.

Pay

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is one component of a competitive Total Rewards package.
