Responsibilities

• Set up, mix drinks, and clean up the bar area according to company standards.
• Provide guest service while ensuring overall guest satisfaction and profit maximization.
• Maintain quality standards for service and a neat, clean work station at all times.
• Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with co-workers to ensure efficient food and beverage service.
• Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.
• Handle money accurately, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing to give correct change, balance till, and prepare cash drops.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) computer systems or similar.
• Serve alcohol responsibly and answer guest questions regarding menu items with knowledgeable suggestions.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Acknowledge, understand, and abide by company programs, policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Present a professional appearance, wear appropriate uniform, and slip-resistant footwear according to company policy.

Requirements

• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including preparation techniques, drink recipes, and substitutions.
• Understanding of state liquor laws and regulations for serving alcohol.
• Familiarity with health codes, food sanitation, and safety practices.
• Proficiency in standard cash handling procedures and basic mathematical skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of bartending experience; hospitality experience preferred.
• Valid Alcohol Server Permit required.
• Valid Food Handlers Permit required.

Pay

$16.80 per hour plus tips and gratuities.

Schedule

Full-time, variable schedule; must be available weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push, pull, reach, grasp, and see throughout the duration of the shift.
• Visual acuity to analyze written information and view computer terminals.
• Ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word.
