Bartender

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for Mixing and serving drinks to guests, directly or through wait staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mix ingredients in order to prepare cocktails.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Clean glasses, utensils and bar equipment.
• Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guests’ excessive drinking by taking steps as described in your TIPS Training.
• Check identification of guests who could questionably be under the age of 21.
• Keep bar area clean and free of dirty glasses, ashtrays, etc.
• Take beverage orders from guests as well as the wait staff.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.
• Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.
• Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Casino environment
• Must be able to tolerate casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise levels and stress related to serving customers in a high pressure fast paced environment.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend and walk and reach with arms and hands
