Bartender
About the role
The Bartender plays a crucial role as the first point of service for guests at Hard Rock Cafe venues. They are responsible for creating a positive experience, serving drinks, food, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Responsibilities
- Making drinks to specification
- Demonstrate responsible alcohol service
- Serve food
- Handle cash and other forms of payment
- Perform proficient sales transactions using a point-of-sale system
- Check IDs for guests who appear to be under 30 years old
- Maintain proper cash drawer balances
- Direct guests to restrooms
- Showcase impeccable product knowledge
- Suggestively sell using proven techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Manage proper product parsthrough bar pulls and inventories
- Stock liquor, beer, wine, and glassware throughout the shift
- Properly label, date, cover, and refrigerate prepared items for the bar
- Maintain a proper 3-compartment sink, sanitizing equipment, utensils, and glassware
- Perform opening, closing, and side duties such as setting up/breaking down the bar, cleaning glass/countertops, sweeping the floor, etc.
- Answer questions accurately and politely
- Create memorable experiences
Requirements
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse range of people.

- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with a point-of-sale system

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Shifts vary based on venue needs, typically ranging from 6 to 12 hours per day, Monday through Sunday.
