Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, determine beverage preferences, make recommendations, and take orders.
- Inform customers about new beverages and specials.
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their contents, and preparation methods to accurately respond to customer questions, make recommendations, and upsell.
- Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to customers.
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulations.
- Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
- Prepare and serve menu items according to Fogo de Chão recipes and guidelines, using proper equipment and ingredients.
- Handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently, clean and clear tables.
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and balancing the cash register.
- Educate yourself and assist coworkers in understanding basic “bar vocabulary,” including wine and liquor varieties and types of mixed drinks.
- Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Stand for prolonged hours.
- High level of endurance and mental acuity to manage conflict and handle high-stress situations.
