Responsibilities
- Beverage Service: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, ensuring quality and presentation standards. Know every spirit, ingredient, and recipe; perfect the classics and execute craft cocktails consistently. Always offer water and a coaster, and make every guest at the bar feel welcome and want to return. Engage guests in a friendly, polished, and professional manner to enhance their experience.
- Bar Readiness & Standards: Complete all opening, closing, and sidework duties each shift so the bar is service-ready and properly broken down. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually polished bar aligned with luxury standards. Monitor par levels and communicate stock or garnish shortages promptly.
- Responsible Service & Transactions: Check a valid, government-issued photo ID for any guest appearing under 30 and never serve without valid ID when required. Monitor guest consumption, pace or stop service as needed, and never serve a visibly intoxicated guest. Handle transactions accurately using strong cash handling and basic math skills.
- Team Support: Assist with food service as needed and support overall service flow. Communicate clearly with servers, kitchen, and Food and Beverage leadership throughout service.
Requirements
- Required:
- Experience as a bartender or in a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere.
- Excellent time management in a high-energy, fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable Tennessee regulations.
- Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol in Tennessee.
- Preferred:
- Upscale, hotel, or craft-cocktail bar experience.
- Knowledge of food safety and proper handling procedures.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TABC or equivalent).
Schedule
Maintain flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. Support banquets, events, or seasonal pop-ups as needed.
