Bartender

Responsibilities

• Offer a welcoming, professional, yet casual experience for all guests at the bar and in the bar seating area
• Know Dough’s list of cocktails, wine, beer, and all other beverages (ingredients, specs, build)
• Suggest specific beverage pairings and food/wine pairings
• Have a working knowledge of all ingredients and preparation used on the menu to take food and beverage orders
• Know and follow steps of service, taking proper care of guests while maintaining a sense of urgency
• Manage inventory
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization of the bar and bar seating area
• Maintain excellent communication with other bar staff, management, and kitchen staff
• Verify age requirements

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Bartender in a full-service restaurant
• Passion for food, cocktails, wine, and beer service
• Ability to suggestively sell
• Outgoing personality—a “people person”
• Excellent communication skills with guests, co-workers, and management
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to carry plates, glasses, and silverware using trays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stay positive and calm under pressure
