Bartender

Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following Applebee’s recipe specifications, and serve food to guests in a courteous and timely manner. Foster a culture aligned with the TSFR Roadmap, including Our Core Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to guests by interacting verbally in a friendly manner
• Adhere to all local and national liquor laws
• Mix and serve drinks following set Applebee’s recipes
• Greet guests in a timely manner, take orders, and answer guest questions
• Collect payment from guests using the QR code or POS system
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team by completing opening and closing side work
• Carry out all tasks with attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety
• Use bar tools to avoid bar waste and help maintain bar costs
• Restock product at the beginning and end of every shift, including cutting and/or slicing garnishes

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a bar or similar environment preferred
• Must be 21 years of age
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and mixed cocktails
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations
• Confident, outgoing demeanor

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Physical and Mental Demands

• Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk, use hands and fingers to handle objects, and reach with hands and arms
• May occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds
• Requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Must work in a team environment and handle a fast-paced setting
• Must be flexible and willing to accept change
• Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Work Environment

On occasion, travel in an automobile to other locations may be required, either alone or accompanied by a co-worker.
