Bartender

We’re looking for a Bartender to mix and serve drinks following Applebee’s recipe specifications and provide food service in a friendly, timely manner. This role supports our culture and core values while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by interacting with guests in a friendly manner
• Adhere to all local and national liquor laws
• Mix and serve drinks following Applebee’s recipes
• Greet guests promptly, take orders, and answer questions
• Process payments efficiently using QR code or POS
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team by completing opening and closing side work
• Perform tasks with attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety
• Use bar tools to minimize waste and help control costs
• Restock products at the start and end of each shift, including preparing garnishes

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a bar or similar environment preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and mixed cocktails
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and variable schedules
• Excellent customer service skills with a confident, outgoing demeanor

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic problem-solving and mathematical skills for handling practical scenarios
• Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to change

Physical and Mental Demands

• Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, walking, and use of hands to handle objects
• Occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 30 pounds
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Work Environment

This role operates primarily in a restaurant setting. Occasional travel to other locations may be required, either alone or with a co-worker.
